2026 Tax Season Important Info

Happy New Year!

It’s Tax Time! I hope the New Year finds you all in good health and that you have all had a relaxing Holiday season. This letter will guide you through the process to get your taxes filed as quickly as possible. Be sure to save all tax documents you receive over the next several weeks and any other tax related items that we may need to prepare your tax returns.

DEADLINES FOR DOCUMENT SUBMISSION

Submit documents here (also accessible through website):

The IRS will begin accepting 2025 e-filed tax returns on Monday, January 26, 2026. Deadlines for submitting information for timely filing are as follows:

2025 TAX SEASON APPOINTMENTS:

Schedule appointments with the link below:

You may submit your documents directly to our office without an appointment via:

  • Website client portal:  CLIENT AREA
  • Mailed to our office
  • Drop Off (Westlake Village Office or Home Drop Box in Simi Valley)
  • We would prefer that you do not email, if possible, to ensure encryption of your documents. If you choose to email your information, please take steps to ensure cybersecurity. With a large number of emails each season, documents can also be overlooked.
  • Please refrain from texting your documents to my cell phone, as they have a possibility of being overlooked

We find that most tax questions can be answered over secure message through Encyro system email (which is initiated once documents are submitted through the portal), which enables you to refer to written answers especially when it pertains to confusing tax law. However, there are times that phone calls and zoom meetings are necessary if you have new or unusual circumstances that you would prefer to discuss via phone or via zoom, or in person. If so, please schedule a meeting on our website: www.abercrombieandassociates.com or use this link:

The last day I will be taking appointments prior to the April 15th deadline is March 21st, 2026. Note that there are a limited number of appointments during this time frame, so please schedule early.
